A celebration of sport, youth participation, volunteerism, and community connection in Calgary.
Silverado Sports Association was proud to partner in the first-ever ICICG Badminton Tournament, a community event that brought together players, families, volunteers, and supporters from across Calgary. Held at Synergy Indoor Sports Center on February 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the tournament featured men’s doubles, women’s doubles, boys’ doubles under 16, and girls’ doubles under 16.
This landmark event truly showcased the power of sport to bring people together:
147 participants representing 14 diverse communities across the City of Calgary
55 youth participants — 28 boys (U16) and 27 girls (U16)
300+ community members in attendance across all age groups
50+ dedicated volunteers contributing an incredible 414 volunteer hours
Organized by ICICG and supported by a wide range of participating organizations, the tournament created an exciting space for community sports and connection.
